PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame of a paper lantern superior in workability and handling in which the shape of the light house formed using the frame is excellent and the stability of the shape of the light house is good with excellent light-weight and the lantern, and provide the frame of the paper lantern which has superior adhesiveness with the paper of the light house and can be made incineration treatment and does not generate a toxic gas such as dioxin, and to provide the paper lantern. SOLUTION: The frame of paper lantern is a monofilament which contains 30-100 wt.% of polylactic acid resin of which D body is 20% or less, and a light house formed using the frame and a paper lantern having the light house are provided.
