PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for converting a Bayesian network into another Bayesian network. SOLUTION: A network configuration determination part 300 determines conversion algorithm on the basis of the Bayesian network accumulated in a network accumulation part 100 and information managed in the remaining node management part 220 and the value holding node management part 240 of a node management part 200. A conditional probability spreadsheet part 400 performs conversion processing to the Bayesian network accumulated in the network accumulation part 100 and generates a Bayesian network after conversion according to the conversion algorithm determined in the network configuration determination part 300. The Bayesian network after conversion comprised of only a node to be left is generated by determining Bayesian network configuration after conversion and calculating a new conditional probability table on the basis of Bayesian network before conversion and optionally specified node identifier information to be left.
