<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a large-size transfer paper from being stained due to contamination of the part of a transfer-approach guide except the width of a small-size transfer paper, when the large-size transfer paper passes through next, because the part of the transfer-approach guide except the width of a transfer paper is contaminated with toner when the small-size transfer paper passes through. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of cuts in the same direction as the conveying direction of the transfer paper are provided on the side of the free end of a conductive flexible sheet whose one end is fixed and other end is the free end. The free end is brought into contact with the transfer paper guide surface of a transfer-approach guide plate to which a bias is applied, in a direction approximately orthogonal to the conveying direction of the transfer paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
