PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of attaining immediacy of event transmission while preventing decrease in the utilization of a transmission band in a communication system adopting the time division multiplexing system. SOLUTION: The communication period (cycle) of the communication system adopting the time division multiplexing system has five time slots, four time slots comprising the first slot TS1 to the fourth slot TS4 are assigned to periodic transmission for four nodes A, B, C, D and the fifth slot TS5 is assigned as a retransmission slot. In the third slot TS3, when the event transmission and a periodic transmission from the node C collide with each other due to occurrence of event data b2 in the node B, arbitration is applied to the collision and the node B winning the arbitration continues the event transmission as it is. The node C losing the arbitration transmits periodic data c1 to be transmitted through the third slot TS3 by using the fifth slot as the retransmission slot. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
