<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional dielectric ceramic consisting essentially of a BaTiO<SB>3</SB>-based perovskite type crystal and containing R, Mg and Si as accessory ingredients is low in reliability and piezoelectric resonance is not suppressed because R, Mg and Si are present as an Mg oxide or an Mg-Si-O multiple oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic which comprises ABO<SB>3</SB>(where, an A site contains at least Ba and a B site is a perovskite type crystal containing Ti) and in which a secondary phase particle consisting essentially of a crystalline multiple oxide comprising at least R, Mg, Si and Mn is present and when the molar ratio of R, Mg and Si to be contained in the crystalline multiple oxide are expressed by (x):(y):(z), (x), (y) and (z) are present in a zone surrounded by a triangle having 3 apexes of A(42, 8, 50), B(8, 42, 50) and C(8, 8, 84). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
