<p>A nonlead glass composition that solving the problem of conventional Bi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> glass with respect to glass softening point and acid resistance, not only can retain the same level of softening point as that of conventionally employed lead glass but also realizes excellent acid resistance. There is provided a nonlead glass composition comprising, in terms of oxide, 55 to 75 wt.% Bi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, 5 to 15 wt.% B<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, 4 to 12 wt.% SiO<SUB>2</SUB>, 3 to 12 wt.% ZnO, 3 to 10 wt.% Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> and 0.1 to 5 wt.% ZrO<SUB>2</SUB>.</p> |
