<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely preventing the use of a toner cartridge which is not a genuine product. <P>SOLUTION: The toner cartridge includes a toner bottle 131 with a discharge port 134a formed at one end part of thereof so as to discharge the toner, and a bottle cap 132 arranged at one end part of the toner bottle so as to close the discharge port. The toner bottle includes, in order in a direction coming close to the bottle cap, a first cylindrical part 133 and a second cylindrical part 134 whose outside diameter is smaller than that of the first cylindrical part. The bottle cap includes, in order in a direction separating from the toner bottle, a cap part 136 whose outside diameter is larger than that of the second cylindrical part and a driven part 137 which is rotationally driven by a coupling 152. An upper cover 107 arranged on the opening 106 of the main body case 101 includes a projecting plate 192 which enters a groove part 139 defined by the first cylindrical part, the second cylindrical part and the cap part when the opening 106 is closed by the upper cover 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
