PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a container with an excellent pattern capable of providing simply and clearly a fine linear pattern on the surface of the container without using an etching method or the like, and the container with the pattern obtained by the method. SOLUTION: An ink is printed on the surface of a lid body 4 by a pad printing so as to obtain the linear pattern P with a width of 0.05-3.0 mm and a height difference of 0.01-0.03 mm. Then, the printed face is covered with a thin aluminum film layer 6 with a thickness of 0.004-0.1 mm so that the irregularity of the underneath linear pattern P comes up to the surface of the thin aluminum film layer 6.
