The burner has a blower, where a fire tube (30) is connected with an outlet of the blower. The fire tube is utilized in a combustion chamber of a firing place. The fire tube has a firing jacket with a number of outlets for a gas air mixture supplied by the blower into the fire tube . A sound suppressor (44) is arranged behind the outlet of the blower within the fire tube and passing through the gas air mixture. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a central heating boiler for a fire place (2) a heating device with the central heating boiler.
