PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control voltage of a gate terminal in a high side (auxiliary) switching element to be not more than gate breakdown voltage and to realize low loss and high efficiency at any operation mode in an insulation-type power conversion apparatus of a half bridge structure. SOLUTION: A control circuit of the auxiliary switching element 2 is provided with a first series circuit of a resistor 103 and a diode 104, a second series circuit of a resistor 105 and a diode 106 and a transistor 107. The element 2 is turned on/off with voltage generated in transformer winding 6b as signal voltage. The transistor 107 is turned on/off by voltage generated in the first and second series circuits.
