PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to perform reproduction, such as a slide show or the like with which the nature of the entertainment is further increased. SOLUTION: A table for changing reproduction speed, at predetermined intervals at the time of reproduction of motion pictures or continuous reproduction of still pictures, is stored in a table storage 61. The table is described with the reproduction speed associated with the time of reproduction at that speed. A display controller 67 controls pictures according to image data supplied from an image data storage 66 so that they are reproduced at a reproduction speed set by a speed setting part 64. The speed setting part 64, after reproduction at a reproduction speed set at that time is performed for a duration described in the table, changes the setting to the next reproduction speed described in the table.
