PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device capable of preventing excessive load from being applied on a user seated on a seat cushion. SOLUTION: This seat device is provided with the seat cushion 2, a seat back 3, and a seat back driving device. A seat back operation switch 102 for driving the seat back driving device is provided at a position where the user seated on the seat cushion 2 can operate it. Inclination of the seat back 3 in the forward direction (in the direction of F) is restricted when the seat back operation switch 102 is operated to tilt and move the seat back 3 in the forward direction (in the direction of F). This seat device is provided with an excessive load suppressing means for suppressing excessive load applied on the user seated on the seat cushion 2 in this way. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
