Both refrigerating circuit (2) and coolant circuit (11) utilize a common heat exchanger (1). The refrigerating circuit includes a compressor (3), while the coolant circuit includes a pump (12) and a coolant reservoir (13). The heat exchanger is operable as an evaporator. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating an air conditioning system.
