PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operating environment of a user at the time of route calculation by setting the use of the existing traffic route specified by the user as the condition of the route calculation, and displaying the names of en-route positions from a start point to a goal point with a display means. SOLUTION: The C/A code from a satellite received by a GPS antenna 1 is demodulated and decoded by a GPS block 2, and the deduced latitude and longitude information is inputted to a CPU 4. A CD block 5 reads and outputs the map/road information and traffic regulation data stored in a map CD-ROM 6. The outputted data are sent to the CPU 4 together with the data read from a ROM 8. The data are sent to a monitor 12, and the map and vehicle position are displayed. The data are D/A-converted 13, and a guide sound is pronounced from a speaker 15. The program of the control means of the CPU 4 is recorded in the ROM 8, and a display means is constituted with the monitor 12. The registered point data are recorded in a RAM 7 as appropriate, and multiple traffic route data are prepared. |
