[Class 8 (i)] The wheel support of a vacuum cleaner &c. comprises a stem 12 mounted to slide vertically on the body of the cleaner and having notches adapted to be engaged by a latch 18 pivoted on the body. A spring 23 may be provided tending to raise the near part of the body in relation to the stem ; a spring may also be provided to make the latch engage. Pressure of the foot on the latch may release the latch and depress the near part of the body against the spring. |
