<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail type fuel injection device capable of separately molding a common rail 1 and piping joints 5, and certainly and simply fitting the piping joints 5 and a high pressure pipe 12 to the common rail 1 without welding. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of the piping joints 5 to which the high pressure pipe 12 in an injector side is connected is molded separately from the common rail 1, and the common rail 1 is assembled by inserting a plurality of fastening bolts 3 in a plurality of through holes 25 so as to penetrate the common rail 1 in a generally diameter direction. The plurality of the piping joints 5 are fastened and fixed on the tip end portion outer periphery of the plurality of the fastening bolts 3, and a nut 8 holding connecting head portions 12a of the plurality of the high pressure pipe 12 is fastened and fixed on the outer periphery of the plurality of the piping joints 5. Only by the above mentioned fastening work, the plurality of the piping joints 5 and the plurality of the high pressure pipes 12 can be certainly and simply assembled to the common rail 1.
