发明名称 METHOD FOR POWERING LUMINESCENT LAMPS (VARIANTS)
摘要 FIELD: electric engineering, possible use in power systems of primarily luminescent lamps with heating of cathodes, with cold cathodes, and also for several types of gas-discharge lamps. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for powering luminescent lamps includes enabling the lamp by means of pre-puncture ionization of its discharge channel by feeding linearly increasing alternating powering voltage onto its contacts until plasma current equal to puncture current appears. Parameters of power and nominal current are set for lamp. After appearance of plasma current, constantly analyzing condition of lamp in accordance to plasma current control method and voltage in the lamp and when necessary adjusting power parameters in accordance to changes of plasma current, lamp is heated up until production and retention of nominal current in working mode. In case of usage of luminescent lamp with heating of cathodes, its glow contacts are electrically locked on themselves, thus providing two-contact connection to power and ignoring of degree of destruction of glow-cathode group, allowing return of luminescent lamps with broken glow filaments to operation in case of suggested power provision method. Presence of test mode in the method allows automatic measurement of characteristics of connected lamp, determining of its type, adjustment of power from lamp one type to another, and in case of repeated power enabling, allows achievement and retention of nominal current appropriate for parameters of selected lamp. ^ EFFECT: increased reliability and stability of lamp operation until its physical destruction or depressurization. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg
