摘要 A driving method and a driving circuit of an electro-optical device are provided to control a current value of a data signal with high accuracy in a control process for controlling various kinds of electro-optical devices. A driving circuit for driving an electro-optical device includes a current generating transistor(TrA), a capacity unit, a conversion unit, and a signal output unit. The current generating transistor includes a gate terminal, a first terminal, and a second terminal and generates a reference current. The capacity unit maintains the voltage of the gate terminal of the current generating transistor. The conversion unit generates a reference voltage corresponding to the reference current. The signal output unit generates a data signal on the basis of the reference voltage and gray scale data and outputs the data signal to a data line. A method for driving the electro-optical device includes a compensating process for setting the voltage of the gate terminal as a voltage value according to a first voltage and a threshold voltage of the current generating transistor, and a process for generating the reference current between the first and second terminals.
