Provided is a method for preparing photochromic films or plates, wherein a lifespan of a photochromic material is improved in the prepared photochromic film or plate by printing a photochromic material on a substrate by the spot, and thus has improved durability. The method for preparing photochromic films or plates comprises the steps of: printing a photochromic material(32) on the part or the whole of a substrate(31) by the independent spot; and forming a protective layer(33) on the printed substrate(31). The method further comprises a step of forming an inorganic film, an organic film, an organic/inorganic hybrid coating film, or a multi-layered film thereof before and/or after printing the photochromic material(32) on the substrate(31) by the independent spot.
