A plasma display panel is provided to enhance brightness and efficiency by improving a dielectric structure for preventing movement of electric charge between discharge cells. A plasma display panel includes a rear panel and a front panel. The rear panel(310) includes a barrier rib(312) with a predetermined pattern in order to dispose one or more discharging cells(316). The front panel(300) includes a dielectric layer(304) having a concave portion(320) corresponding to the pattern of the barrier rib. The concave portion of the dielectric layer and an upper portion of the barrier rib are coupled with when the rear panel and the front panel are attached to each other. The depth of the concave portion of the dielectric layer is 1% over and 10% below of max height of the barrier rib.
