PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit, an image processing method, and an image processing program capable of browsing an image selected for use in prescribed application easily. SOLUTION: In a print selection tray 128, when the number of print candidate images 130 is increased, the size is reduced so that the print candidate image 130 is within the print selection tray 128 as shown in Fig. 10(a). The print candidate image 130 cannot be reduced to a prescribed size or smaller. In this case, the prescribed size is the smallest one that can be viewed by a user when the print candidate image 130 having the prescribed size is displayed on a monitor 28 in the image processing unit 10. The prescribed size is determined based on the size, a resolution, the number of displayable colors, and the line of the monitor 28. Even if the prescribed size does not fit into the print selection tray 128, a scroll bar 138 is displayed as shown in Fig. 10(b). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
