The razor blade (1.1) has a cutter (2.1) on one long side (3) of it. The cutter has a cutter length (L1) which is less than half the length (L) of the long side (3) of the blade. A region (5.1) recessed from the long side can be pulled back relative to the cutter. The recessed region may run parallel to the cutter. It may be produced by stamping, grinding or erosion.
