The apparatus has a normally-open-type electromagnetic valve (6) with an electromagnetic coil. An attractive force is changed by changing the value of the current applied to the coil and brake fluid pressure to be maintained on a wheel brake side is set by setting the force at a given value. The valve is closed when the pressure is higher than the force and is opened against the force to reduce the pressure down to the value.
