PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which permits the easy removal of dust sticking to a dust filter closing an exhaust opening formed in a dust container. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 10 has a cleaner body 11 incorporating an electric blower 24 and a dust case portion (dust container) 74 removably mounted to the cleaner body 11 and accumulating dust sucked by the electric blower 24, and a connecting opening (exhaust opening) 75 closed by a net filter (dust filter) NF3 is formed on a left wall portion (one side) 74A extending in the vertical direction of the dust case portion 74, the dust case portion 74 is partitioned into a case portion (first dust container portion) 174 and a lid body (second dust container portion) 77 by a parting face X extending in the vertical direction and facing the net filter NF3, the net filter NF3 is provided in the case portion 174 and the vertical one end of the lid body 77 is joined to the case portion 174 by a hinge.
