A visitor identification system and a method thereof are provided to quickly identify a visitor by means of a mobile communication terminal and a videophone through a Bluetooth function and output a music file stored in the mobile communication terminal to the visitor waiting for a predetermined time, thereby relieving the tedium of waiting. A visitor identification system comprises a videophone(100) for capturing an image of a visitor when the visitor makes a call, converting a captured image signal into a Bluetooth image signal, outputting the Bluetooth image signal, receiving and converting a Bluetooth music file mapped to the Bluetooth image signal when the visitor is in a waiting mode, and reproducing the converted music file. The videophone(100) comprises an image input unit(110) for capturing the image of the visitor, a control unit(120) for processing an image signal, a Bluetooth module(140) for converting the Bluetooth music file, and a music reproduction unit(130) for reproducing the converted music file.
