<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of being simplified in constitution without impairing anti-theft performance. <P>SOLUTION: The steering device for the vehicle is equipped with a steering angle sensing part 21, a reaction force mechanism 31, and a steering control part 41 for the vehicle which are installed removably from the vehicle. These parts 21, 31 and 41 for controlling steering angles of the vehicle wheels operated by a steering wheel 11 can be removed from the vehicle. In a state that they 21, 31 and 41 are removed from the vehicle, it is not possible to steer the vehicle wheels operated by the steering wheel 11.
