<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe body joint having improved sealing performance in an earthquake or ground displacement. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe body joint is provided for connecting a plurality of concrete pipe bodies together to be buried. A fitting-in shaft portion 3 at the male connection end of the pipe body has a peripheral groove formed in the outer peripheral face where an elastic sealing ring 5 is fitted and mounted. A fitted-in hole portion 13 at the female connection end has a peripheral groove formed in the inner peripheral face where an elastic sealing ring 15 is fitted and mounted. When the male connection end is fitted to the female connection end, both elastic sealing rings 5, 15 are fitted to each other and the outer peripheral face of the inside elastic sealing ring 5 contacts the inner peripheral face of the outside elastic sealing ring 15 to compress both elastic sealing rings. The outer peripheral face of the elastic sealing ring 5 and the inner peripheral face of the elastic sealing ring 15 have mountain portions 6, 16 and valley portions 7, 17 alternately in the direction of the axial centers, respectively, and they are formed to be uneven in the direction of the axial centers. When both elastic sealing rings 5, 15 are fitted to each other, an uneven portion of the outer peripheral face meshes with an uneven portion of the inner peripheral face to put the outer peripheral face in contact with the inner peripheral face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
