The method of fabrication of plasterboard uses a preform (5) which is cut. The method involves providing a marking (301) on a cutting material of the preform, detecting the mark and providing an actuation signal for a cutter (9) when the mark is detected. The mark is provided using an inking pad. Claims include a production line using the method.
