PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic atomization apparatus capable of generating charged micro-particles of water by stably supplying droplets derived from steam to the tip end of an impressing electrode in a short time. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomization apparatus comprises an impressing electrode 1 for impressing voltage to water to be supplied, a counter electrode 2 positioned on the opposite to the impressing electrode 1, and a high voltage impressing part for impressing high voltage between the impressing electrode 1 and the counter electrode 2. The impressing electrode 1 is made to be a cylindrical body having a tip end hole 3 for discharging water at the tip end part A on the opposite to the counter electrode 2 and a steam generation part 10 for supplying steam for producing droplets in the cylindrical body of the impressing electrode 1 is installed as means for water supply to the impressing electrode 1.
