ORIENTATION CONTROL METHOD FOR ORGANIC SEMICONDUCTOR MOLECULE, AND ORGANIC THIN FILM SOLAR BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic thin film solar battery including an organic semiconductor layer with improved conversion efficiency from optical energy to electric energy.

SOLUTION: The problem is solved by the organic thin film solar battery including the organic semiconductor layer whose conversion efficiency is improved by controlling orientation of organic semiconductor molecules constituting the organic semiconductor layer. The problem is solved by the organic thin film solar battery in which the control is carried out in the orientation of the organic semiconductor molecules constituting the organic semiconductor layer, by providing an orientation control layer containing an orientation control agent adjacent to the organic semiconductor layer or via an intermediary layer.
