PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jacket of an engine in a surface planing boat in which air is not accumulated at a ceiling part. SOLUTION: The ceiling surface 27b of the water jacket 27 formed in the body of the engine 20 mounted on the surface planing boat 10 and receiving a cooling water for cooling the engine 20 is tilted so that its rear side is higher than its front side. A water drain part 27 for discharging the cooling water from the water jacket 27 is formed at the rear uppermost part of the ceiling surface 27b of the water jacket 27. Head bolt fastening parts 28 for fitting bolts are formed on a cylinder head 24 on the outer portion of the water jacket 27.
