PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door auxiliary lock which is applicable to an outward openable door and an inward openable door in common, and to provide an auxiliary lock fixing bracket and a receptacle for use with the auxiliary lock. SOLUTION: When the door auxiliary lock is applied to the outward openable door 2, upon outward opening operation of the door 2, a dead bolt 4 protruding from a lock main body 3 abuts on an outward opening inhibiting portion 37 of the receptacle 6 mounted on a beam 5 of a door frame, to thereby inhibit the door 2 from opening outward. When the door auxiliary lock is applied to the inward openable door 2, upon inward opening operation of the door 2, the dead bolt 4 protruding from the lock main body 3 abuts on an inward opening inhibiting portion 38 of the receptacle 6 mounted on the beam 5 of the door frame, to thereby inhibit the door 2 from opening inward. Therefore by using the receptacle 6, the auxiliary lock 1 is applicable to the outward openable door 2 and the inward openable door 2 in common. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
