PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a rocker arm of which product traceability is secured wherein manufacturing cost is reduced and piece-by-piece product management is made easy. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 10 for the rocker arm consists of a roller 11, a shaft 12 provided inside of the roller 11 and a needle roller 13 provided between the roller 11 and the shaft 12. Material of the roller 11 is steel containing carbon equal to or more than 0.38 mass% and equal to or less than 1.1 mass%. The roller 11 is quench-hardened by being heated by induction heating from a temperature lower than an A1point to a temperature equal to or higher than the A1point and then being cooled from a predetermined temperature in a temperature range that is equal to or higher than the A1point to a temperature equal to or lower than an Mspoint.
