The invention concerns a ventilating crossmember for a motor vehicle, comprising: a tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18), assembly means (34) which are mounted to the tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18) and which are used to assemble a bundle of cables to the tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18), a vent duct (20, 22, 24, 26) which is disposed inside a segment of the tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18), and means for fixing the vent duct (20, 22, 24, 26) the segment of the beam (12, 14, 16, 18). The mounted assembly means consist of at least one fixing member (8) comprising a male part which co-operates with, or is click-locked in a hole in the tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18) so as to be fixed therein. The male part projects out from the tubular beam (12, 14, 16, 18), thereby causing the local deformation of the vent duct (20, 22, 24, 26). The invention is suitable for dashboard crossmembers. |
