<p>An absorbent wound care device comprising a layer of an absorbent material, said layer having a wound contacting surface, wherein the wound contacting surface is provided with a wound contacting layer in the form of a layer of an elastic material in the form of fibre threads forming a uniform layer of intersecting fibre threads covering at least a part of the surface of the absorbent material provides a non/low-adhesive flexible, highly absorbent wound dressing being capable of absorbing large amounts of wound exudates without giving rise to gel blocking and/or maceration, pressure marks nor leaving residues of the dressing in the wound and does not cause damage to fragile skin when removing the dressing and allows for easy access for wound exudates and slough to an absorbent layer, which ensures a fast initial absorption of an absorbing dressing.</p> |
