PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development excellent in fixability in a low temperature region and excellent also in image quality maintaining property and storage stability, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains at least a binder resin A, a colorant and a release agent, further contains a dispersed crystalline material C coated with a coating resin B, and has a shape factor SF1 of 100-140, wherein the binder resin A and the coating resin B are a polyester resin, the crystalline material C is a polyester resin or a urethane compound, and a glass transition temperature of the coating resin B is higher than that of the binder resin A.
