PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-storage hydrophilic fiber that has sufficient hydrophilicity derived from a hydroxy group in spite of being a synthetic fiber, stores heat obtained by sunshine, etc., to raise the surface temperature of fiber and has both heat storage property and hydrophilicity. SOLUTION: The heat-storage hydrophilic fiber is a fiber composed of a thermoplastic resin comprising ceramic fine particles having light absorption and heat exchange function and a modified polyvinyl alcohol resin in which the content of the ceramic fine particles having light absorption and heat exchange function is 0.1-20 mass% based on the fiber mass and the content of the modified polyvinyl alcohol resin is 3-40 mass% based on the fiber mass.
