PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform satellite navigation positioning suitable to situations by altering the reception sensitivity of a satellite navigation receiver according to the situations. SOLUTION: It is possible to perform positioning with emphasis on speed by setting a GPS receiver in high-sensitivity mode when a vehicle-mounted navigation system is actuated in situations such as an exit from a parking lot that requires position and bearing corrections at a timing as fast as possible (S10, S20). It is possible to perform positioning with emphasis on precision by changing over from high-sensitivity mode to low-sensitivity mode (S50, S60), if positions and bearings are corrected (S30) and a GPS speed vector and a self-contained navigation speed vector are approximate to each other to some degree (S40:Yes).
