PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage crusher capable of securely stop a crushing motor by an off-operation of a safety switch even when a microcomputer goes out of control during crushing operation. SOLUTION: The garbage crusher is provided which connects a plurality of safety switches 20, 22 to a microcomputer 36 through input signal lines 38-1, 38-2 corresponding to the switches 20, 22, supplies a signal through an output signal line 40 to a driving circuit 42 for a crushing motor 14 from the microcomputer 36, and on the other hand, which directly connects the safety switch 20 to the driving circuit 42 through a bypass signal line 44 without through the microcomputer 36, and stops the crushing motor 14 by an off-operation of the driving circuit 42 when an off-signal is supplied from the bypass signal line 44.
