PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely control an image recording position to recording media even though the colors of the recording media and the conveying media of the conveying mechanism mounting and conveying the recording media approximate to each other. SOLUTION: The light amount detecting signal output from a line sensor 33 detecting the transmitted light (the detected light) of the recording media 21 is validated at a timing when the detecting hole 39 of the belt of the conveying mechanism 20 arrives at the lower side of the line sensor 33, the continuous position information of the edge in one side end of the recording media 21 is obtained based on the validated light amount detecting signal, and the discharging positions of the respective inks of respective colors of K, C, M, Y discharged from the respective inkjet heads 29 to 32 of an image recording section 28 are controlled.
