<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having excellent initial charge discharge efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous battery is equipped with a packaging member, a positive electrode housed in the packaging member, a negative electrode housed in the packaging member, and having a carbonaceous material, composite particles comprising a silicon oxide dispersed in the carbonaceous material, silicon dispersed in the silicon oxide, a lithium silicate phase contained in the silicon oxide and containing Li<SB>4</SB>SiO<SB>4</SB>as the main component, and a nonaqueous electrolyte filled in the packaging member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
