<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus which causes neither occurrence of voids in a solid image nor clearing in the midsection of a character image, and continuously gives high density and high sharpness toner images, and to provide a tandem type image forming method, an electrophotographic photoreceptor and an image forming unit. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus has, around an electrophotographic photoreceptor, a charging device, an exposure device, a developing device for development with a toner-containing liquid developer, a primary transfer device for primarily transferring a toner image on the electrophotographic photoreceptor formed with the developing device onto an intermediate transfer member, and a secondary transfer device for transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer member onto a recording medium, wherein the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains particles having a number average primary particle diameter of 1-200 nm in its surface layer, and a light source used in the exposure device is a semiconductor laser or a light emitting diode having an oscillation wavelength of 350-500 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
