PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of safely and efficiently removing an existing buried pipe which is buried in the ground, damaged and superannuated without giving any influence on any other upper existing pipe, a terrestrial construction and a vehicle. SOLUTION: A leading conductor composed of a cylindrical shell having the approximately same outside diameter as that of an excavation diameter or larger than that is placed at the existing buried pipe constructed in the ground, take-in means having predetermined widths in the longitudinal direction are put on both right and left shells of the leading conductor, the existing buried pipe is deformed inward or cut off by the tak-in means provided at both the right and left sides by pushing the existing buried pipe ahead so as to cover it with the leading conductor. The conductor is mainly characterized in that a deformed piece or a cut-off piece of the existing buried pipe and excavated soil entered in of the leading conductor can be collected to be conveyed to the outside of a tunnel.
