<p>This invention relates to a castor assembly (10), in particular for fitment to a bed or the like. The castor assembly (10) comprises a castor (12) and a mounting bracket (14), the castor having a wheel (22) which is rotatably mounted on an axle (26), the axle being mounted upon a support bracket (24), the support bracket being connected to the mounting bracket (14). The castor is movable relative to the mounting bracket between a use position (U) in which it can engage the floor and support part of the weight of the bed or the like, and a transport position (T) in which it projects beyond the bottom of the bed or the like by a smaller distance and so is less liable to become damaged, or to cause damage, during storage and transportation. Repeated movements between the use position and the storage position can be undertaken as required.
