<p>522,146. Lawn-mowers. BARNETT, C., and BARNETT, W. Dec. 6, 1938, No. 36131/37. [Class 6 (ii)] A lawn-mower comprises asubstantially rectangular frame 10, 11, 12, Fig. 4, of rigid unitary construction, the side members 10 being recessed to receive bearing blocks 8 of the rotary cutter, and the ledger blade 7 is fixed on the bottom member 12 of the frame. The recesses are directed forwardly so that the cutter cylinder may be inserted from the front of the mower and a bracket member (not shown) closes the ends of the recesses when the blocks are in position. The block is supported on springs 14 and the height of the cutter cylinder is adjustable by means of the bolt 15, the block moving vertically and having V-shaped grooves 20 which engage with projections 21 from the frame and corresponding projections from the bracket The fame supports another frame structure comprising two horizontal tube members connecting side plates attached to the frame and supporting an internal combustion engine and its auxiliaries. One of these tubes may form the fuel tank and the other the exhaust manifold of the engine. Other features of the lawn-mower described form the subject-matter of Specifications 508,563 and 508,564.
