EPON SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING RF NOISE THEREIN

An EPON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network) system and an RF(Radio Frequency) noise reduction method of the EPON system are provided to add a scrambling process to an Ethernet signal processing procedure on an OLT(Optical Line Termination) stage of the EPON system, thereby reducing a peak value of a noise signal abandoned to an RF broadcasting signal band. A line coding unit(522) carries out a line coding process for Ethernet signals. A scramble unit(523) performs a scrambling process for the line-coded signals, and distributes the signals. A serial converter(524) converts the scrambled signals into serial signals. An optical signal converter(525) converts the serial signals into optical signals, and transmits the optical signals to an optical line section. The scrambling process is conducted by using an SSS(Self Synchronous Scrambler).
