The diffuser-mixer has an endless screw (7) to drive a closing unit (4) by displacing the unit (4) along a side wall of a conduit (11) to partially close an inlet opening (115), through which a fraction of flow of exhaust gas circulating in a conduit (2) enters into the conduit (11). The closing unit has an inlet opening (41) that permits to create a jet of exhaust gas in the conduit (11). The conduit (11) allows circulation of air and air-exhaust gas mixture, and the conduit (2) that is perpendicular to the conduit (11) allows re-circulation of the exhaust gas.
