A communication terminal having an emergency call termination function and an emergency call termination service method of the communication terminal are provided to provide an SMS, video information, map information or direction information related to an emergency situation such as a disaster as it occurs to a user to enable the user to quickly take shelter. A receiving unit(110) receives a CID(Caller ID). A controller(120) determines whether the received CID value is an emergency call termination number. If the CID value is an emergency call termination number, the controller(120) checks a current bell sound set mode. If the mode is one of vibration, lock and automatic response modes, the controller(120) changes the bell sound set mode to a mode in which a bell sound can be outputted, and outputs a pre-set bell sound at a pre-set output level. A speaker(130) outputs the bell sound under the control of the controller(120).
