An information processing device, and a program and a method for controlling the same are provided to enable a user having few knowledge to copy/restore partitions of a system with a simple operation by improving recovery probability of the system. A copying setting part(32) is operated in the first OS(Operating System)(31), sets booting information to a non-volatile memory and reboots the information processing device by setting the copying information for ordering copying of the first program partition contents. The booting information orders booting to the second OS(41) stored in the second program partition, which is different from the first program partition, when the information processing device is booted in next time. A BIOS(Basic Input/Output System)(21) program is operated when the information processing device is booted and boots the second OS based on the booting information of the non-volatile memory. A copying executor(42) is operated in the second OS and makes a copied file, which is a copy of the first program partition contents, to the different partition based on the copying information. |
