摘要 An energy effective switching power supply apparatus and a method for reducing energy waste are provided to reduce switching loss by offsetting a switching frequency of a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)-IC(Integrated Chip) according to increase of an output voltage. An energy effective switching power supply apparatus includes a power transformer(150), a power output unit(160), and a switching control unit(130). The power transformer(150) induces a voltage to a second coil by using correlation of first and second coils for an input voltage. The power output unit(160) outputs a detection signal when an amplitude of an output DC voltage acquired by rectifying and smoothing the induced voltage to the second coil is above a reference voltage. If the detection signal is received in the switching control unit(130), the switching control unit(130) adjusts a switching frequency of a switching element to switch a current which flows on the first coil of the power transformer(150).
